ONTARIO CHAPTER HIGHLIGHTS
September 2011
The September 15th joint meeting with the AFS Ontario and the CFA was a well-attended success. Our after dinner speakers consisted of Dave Seyler, Riverside Brass, President CFA; John Vickers, Vickers Engineering and Leo Baron, director of Membership Resources, AFS Schaumburg IL.
The theme of the night was an update of the industry as relating to both the CFA and the AFS. Dave Seyler spoke of the progress the CFA has made, demonstrating this with a statistical analysis. John Vickers followed up with a report on the CFA Bench Marking.
Leo Baron brought us up to date on the AFS discussing such items as membership, advantages of corporate membership, employee education, technical guidance as well as marketing direction and customer relationship management.
John Vickers introduced a very welcome guest to the membership, Nicholas Wedgewood from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
